Comparison of the Use of Kinetic Model Plots and DD Solver Software to Evaluate the Drug Release from Griseofulvin Tablets

Awareness of the release kinetics active drugs is important in formulating that have desired delivery and predicting behaviour formulated drug vivo. The study aims to determine mechanism from griseofulvin tablets with different surfactants using mathematical models compare use graphs DD solver software fitting dissolution profiles kinetic models. batches P1 -P3 were composed surfactant - PEG 4000 concentrations. A control batch without a commercial brand (Mycoxyl 500) used for comparison. Granule tablet quality tests indicated formulations. Dissolution showed improved (batches -P3) had best comparable brand. Excel Add-in plots model fit. Higuchi was fit -P3. first order Hixon -Crowell also P2 P3. Korsmeyer’s exhibited anomalous diffusion. as good they an diffusion tablet; meaning diffused following Fickian law through swollen porous matrix. Kinetic can be models.
